AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM EQUIFAX CANADA

Customer notice for Windows XP support

Dear Valued Equifax Member,

 

 

At Equifax, data security and ensuring the integrity of that data is paramount to us.  Further to our November 10, 2014 customer notification regarding our SSLv3 – POODLE efforts (for more information please see our Internet Bulletins section), we would like to make our Microsoft Windows XP users aware of a change that may impact your internet access to Equifax products and services.

 

Equifax Canada has been provided notice by our Digital Certificate provider (Symantec) that effective December 1, 2014 all newly issued Digital Certificates will no longer support web browser versions previous to Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.

 

This change will also impact our members using Microsoft Windows XP as Internet Explorer 9 and later versions do not support Windows XP.

 

As Microsoft has already discontinued support for Windows XP, Equifax Canada strongly recommends that members using Microsoft Windows XP speak to their IT provider regarding an operating system upgrade.
