On January 24, Equifax implemented an address search as part of our search/match logic.This means that in addition to the name search, we will now search our database for any matches on the address, independent of the company name, in order to find the best possible business matches.
Beginning January 25, the list of similars you receive may include businesses that match on the address, but may not reflect the company name submitted upon inquiry. We have adjusted our Confidence Level Indicator (CLI) to accommodate this change. The higher the CLI, the more likely the candidate matched based on both company name and address.
There is no action required on your part. You will automatically begin receiving a list of similars based on the address search beginning on Monday, January 25. You should rely on the CLI to help you make an educated decision about the best possible match for your inquiry.
